​ARTIST's STATEMENT
My creative process begins with a feeling or sense of a presence or energy.  I am very easily seduced by texture, layer, and color, all so moving to me. My creative process becomes spiritual…discovery of a new friend, a "visiting" with those who have passed, a message, idea or story. My hope is to draw the viewer in so they can find an energy or connection that is unique and personal.

​ABOUT ME
I work primarily in oil and occasionally in watercolor, pastel, or mix media. I've held instructor positions in visual art and photography at the high school and university levels, as well as creative roles in TV/film/ video production, set design, interior design, marketing, graphic design, and advertising.

I am fortunate to have had commissioned work for The AIDS Foundation of Chicago, Project HOPE/Northwestern Hospital, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, local authors, corporate clients, and private collectors.

I am lifted through music, taking photos, being outside as much as possible, cooking and eating good food, and spending time with my husband, Rich. We live in the Chicago area with our cat, Scout.
